Battle of the Bamboo and Fabric Mat

A bamboo mat, or rug, is a good substitute for a regular fabric mat. Aside from the fact that a bamboo mat can last longer that a fabric mat, it is also easier to clean and maintain. A fabric mat is cleaned by washing it with soap and water, like in a typical laundry. While a bamboo mat can be cleaned by just wiping off its surface by a wet disposable paper towel.

Another reason why a bamboo rug is better than a fabric rug is its appeal to people who have allergies. A fabric rug can easily accumulate different allergens such dust, pollen, animal hair and other tiny particulates that can irritate allergic people. On the other hand, allergens can only stick in the surface of the bamboo rug. Since it can be easily cleaned by just wiping off its surface, allergens that have set on it can be easily removed. That is why more people, with allergies or without, buy bamboo rugs instead of fabric rugs.

A bamboo mat can be used in countless ways as a fabric rug can be. It can be used as a place mat in a dining table, where plates are placed during a meal. It can also be a good mouse pad. It can also be used as an exercise mat for yoga or wrestling. It can also be a placed inside the bathroom and serve as a bath mat that will prevent slipping the bathroom. A bamboo mat also works as a sturdy door mat.
